Child Care

You will check your child in the main child care area. We have 1 staff member for the children. If your child is potty training or wears diapers, please bring extra diapering supplies. You can opt in or out for having our staff change your child’s diaper if needed. The youngest age we care for is 6 weeks old and up to 12 years old.

Included in family or youth memberships only. Day passes can be purchased for children at $5/day.

• Monday – Friday 9 am – 12 pm, 3 pm – 6 pm
• Saturday 9 am – 12 pm

****The child care room is Nut Free and we appreciate all people entering the rooms to wash hands and make sure no nut products or wrappers come with the child into the rooms.

Your children should wear at least socks and preferably shoes. For your children’s security, we will ask the parent or immediate family relative to sign the child in and out and provide the location of where they’ll be in the McKendree MetroRecPlex (MMRP). We have these procedures in effect to insure the safety and security of your child. In the case of any emergency or unusual situation, MMRP child care staff members will immediately contact the parent(s) in the building. A P.L.E.X. Kids staff member will call for emergency medical assistance, as necessary.

Your children should be healthy or otherwise free from colds, fever, rashes, headache, upset stomach, vomiting, diarrhea, or any contagious conditions to attend the child care. Parents/Guardians must remain in the MetroRecPlex building or on the grounds while their children are in our care. Please limit any electronic devices to school age children only.
