Sally Drake is a USAT Level II and Ironman U Certified Triathlon Coach. She enjoys coaching triathletes of all levels, with a passion for helping them exceed their goals.
Rachel Massey has a Bachelors Degree in Health Promotion and Fitness from Otterbein University. She is also a certified personal trainer through both American College of Sports Medicine (ASCM) and The Cooper Institute. She has been training for eight years in various settings such as corporate fitness, government installations, hospital facilities, commercial fitness and in-home. She also has experience working with a variety of clients and specializes in training for strength, weight loss, functional fitness and TRX. While not at work, Rachel enjoys cross fit, hiking, and cooking healthy meals.
Kelly Williams has been involved with physical fitness since she was 7 years old.She did gymnastics for 6 years and cheerleading for 10.She also received her Bachelors in Science in Exercise and Wellness from SIUE. Some of her specialties include the following: stretching, muscle imbalances, pain relief, muscle building, post physical therapy, weight training and weight loss. Her favorite types of training methods include functional movements with resistance, machines and cable systems for isolations and muscle imbalances and high intensity interval cardio. She is able to help individuals of every age and every ability, young or old, beginner or advanced, with the ability to improve their lives through education, nutrition and proper muscle activation.
Eric Stiegman is a strength and conditioning coach with nearly 20 years of experience. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from UMSL in Biology and his graduate education from BYU in sports medicine/athletic training. As a life long athlete, former college basketball player and golfer, Eric understands athletics and has a passion for training athletes to reduce the risk of injury and maximize potential. Eric has successfully trained a variety of athletes with various methods, but his specialty is in kettle-bell training and more specifically, kettle-bell training for golfers. He has developed unique kettle-bell training methods and programs for golfers and is currently working towards publishing a book on the subject. Eric is very excited to start training athletes at MRP and looks forward to helping you excel in your given sport!
The McKendree Metro Rec Plex is a new, full-service, state-of-the-art sports complex. The complex offers two NHL-sized ice rinks, an aquatic center fit with a 10 lane championship swimming pool, a contemporary fitness area and many other amenities. Memberships and daily passes can be purchased for use of the facility and all its features.
The complex serves as home to the McKendree University hockey and aquatic teams and the Southern Illinois IceHawks. The McKendree Bearcats utilizes the facility for all home games as well as their primary practice facility. The Southern Illinois IceHawks, a local youth hockey association, also utilizes this facility as their home ice.
Janelle did a fantastic job designing and selecting real equipment in the weight room! Finally a top shelf fitness faculty in the area.
Amazing place with amazing opportunities it is definitely your money’s worth and more. I love that I can drop off my kids in a child care that I can see is excellent and go do what I need or want to do else where in the building.
