WHAT IS MCKENDREE METRO

The McKendree MetroRecPlex was built in 2017 as the anchor of the Four Points Center as well as the go-to hub for sports and fitness in the greater O’Fallon area.

Located the corner of Scott Troy Road and Hwy 50, in O’Fallon, IL, just off Interstate 64, we are a state of the art, full-service, sports complex with facilities like no other in the region:

  • Two NHL-sized ice rinks
  • An aquatic center fit with a 10-lane championship swimming pool,
  • A recreational pool
  • Atlantis Strength and Weight Center
  • Elevated Walking Track and Cardio Center
  • Group Fitness Classes
  • Personal Training
  • Childcare & more

We built the MetroRecPlex to fill a desperate need for an ice rink as well as competitive swimming lanes in the area but also wanted to create a place where the busy mom or dad could drop a child off at swimming or skating lessons and still catch a workout without ever needing to leave the facility.

The family-friendly atmosphere, child care, lessons and team sports practices evolved into a one-stop shop for the busy family on the go, and now with the development of the land surrounding the MetroRecPlex, the Four Points Center will offer even more options for anyone visiting the MetroRecPlex.

We are also proud to be the home of the McKendree University Hockey Team, Swimming and Diving and Water Polo Teams, where Bearcat athletes use our facilities to train and compete. The MetroRecPlex is also the home of the Southern Illinois Ice Hawks Hockey Youth Club Team and the Seahawks competitive youth swim team.

In addition, the MetroRecPlex has over 25,000 square feet of exhibit space that can be utilized to host both large and small events. From conventions to birthday parties, we have the space that fits your needs.

Memberships and daily passes can be purchased for use of the facility and all its features, along with monthly discounts, deals, and offers special for members only.

We encourage you to visit soon and let us know how we are doing.
