The McKendree Metro Rec Plex is the proud home of the HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Outpatient Therapy facility. This office sees an array of patients, from performance improvement programs surgeries to tendon and ligament repairs, and even specialized orthopedics for things like running or golfing.

The HSHS Outpatient Therapy has services available for virtually everyone. Last month, HSHS began a FREE monthly event, right here in the McKendree Metro Rec Plex, entitled the Injury-Free Running Clinic. Here, participants are shown how to locate issues with their gait, receive instruction on proper stretching and cadence count, participate in discussions about running injuries, as well as a Q&A with a skilled physician and physical therapist. This program allows runners to ensure they are having the safest and most comfortable running experience possible.

The Injury Free Running Clinic is open to 12 participants a month. If interested, visit https://www.hshs.org/StElizabeths/Events/Community/Injury-Free-Running-Clinic-(1) to register for an upcoming running clinic.
