PLEX Kids — Children’s Programs in O’Fallon, IL
PLEX Kids is Metro Rec Plex’s family of children’s programs designed to keep kids safe, engaged, and active while parents make the most of their time at the facility.
Child Care
Need to focus on your workout? Child watch is a complimentary, members-only childcare service available while you’re in the facility. Our experienced childcare staff keep children entertained and well cared for in a dedicated space stocked with toys, crafts, and age-appropriate enrichment activities.
Our Child Watch Room is fully equipped for the littlest members of your family — including cribs, a diaper changing station, and a dedicated infant play area. Older children enjoy a wide variety of toys and creative activities.
Parents are welcome to bring nut-free snacks and bottles for their children.

• Hours: Monday–Friday 8:00am–12:00pm & 3:00pm–6:00pm | Saturday 8:00am–12:00pm
• Maximum stay: 2 hours per visit

After School Program
Our After-School Program gives school-age children a safe, active, and engaging place to be after the school day ends. Our experienced staff are ready to welcome kids with a full afternoon of activities, movement, and fun.
In our Shark Room, children have access to a climbable rock wall with floor padding, building materials and toys for school-aged kids, board games and card games that build critical thinking and strategy, and a wide range of craft supplies for the more creative minds.
Each afternoon includes a dedicated gym time where children head to the facility with a staff member to run, play ball, and stay active. A microwave and refrigerator are available for parent-provided snacks. Homework help is available for children who’d like it — our staff are happy to assist, though please note we are not professional tutors.

School’s Out Days
When school’s out, PLEX Kids is open. Our School’s Out Days program offers full-day care during O’Fallon School District 90 breaks and early dismissal days — giving children a full day of structured activities, movement, and fun.
Every School’s Out Day includes organized ice skating, swimming, and gym time. Activities are themed around the holiday or occasion that school is out for, with special crafts and programming to match.
Skates are provided for ice time. Children who wish to swim should bring their own swimsuits. Since these are full-day events, parents should provide meals, snacks, and drinks based on how long their child will be with us. A microwave and refrigerator are available on-site.
Specific activity times for each School’s Out Day will be shared closer to the date, as times vary based on rink and pool availability.
